About us

Our lodging house

Centre d’hébergement Tipinuaikan welcomes indigenous women and their children who are victims of domestic and/or family violence. Our organization was created by the Department of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada in 1990. At the time, the primary focus was to deal with domestic violence.

Today, our objective is to stop violence in all its forms. We mainly offer services (internal and external) to women from the Innu Nation, but we can also offer services to women from other Indigenous Nations.
